WPFT's Impact

The total impact of the funds raised through Women Playing For T.I.M.E. has been enormous.  With proceeds from the 2011 events, the total net revenue raised should reach more than $8.7 million dollars since inception. Funds are used to support research, critical services and programs for cancer patients and their families. Please browse through our current and past funded projects to see how your support and donations continue to positively impact the lives of women and families in Central Florida.

Today, advances in cancer research and treatments are increasing survival rates and quality of life for those touched by cancer. To defeat cancer, our researchers at the Cancer Research Institute, a part of MD Anderson – Orlando, are turning research results into therapies or preventives, proving their effectiveness in the clinic and then educating health care professionals about these latest advances.

Great cancer research relies heavily on philanthropic support to attract world class research scientists. This is where we will find our answers. This benefits the 5,000 new patients that seek care at MD Anderson – Orlando every year, in addition to cancer patients from around the world. The future ultimately rests with philanthropists, like those involved with WPFT, who understand and share our vision.
