Mary K. Mahoney
Mary, a native of Orlando, Florida, began her career at the age of fourteen, working as a Sea Maid at Sea World. Growing up in Orlando during the 60's and 70's was a time of accelerated economic growth for the area, and Orlando was rapidly becoming known worldwide as the vacation capital of the world. Following high school and college, Mary was recruited by Days Inns of America, Inc. and relocated to Atlanta, where she helped the young franchise company to grow and become recognized as one of the fastest growing franchise brands in America.
Mary's career in brand management and franchising continued to flourish. She has been recognized by Lodging as one of "The Top 75 Executives in Hospitality," by Travel Agent as "One of the Most Powerful Women in Travel," and by Brandweek as one of the "Next Generation of Hot New Marketers." In a ceremony at the White House, Mary was recognized by President Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell for her work in corporate philanthropy. The recognition was for her contributions to expand youth mentoring programs supported by the America's Promise initiative.
Mary is known as a dynamic, results-oriented executive who has led innovation and transition across multiple industries. With over twenty years of senior executive experience, her career achievements are hallmarked by building strong corporate and executive board relationships, delivering consistent, high quality services and products, improving customer services and retention rates, and building a team of professionals dedicated to delivering measurable results. Mary and her husband John, reside in Orlando with their two boxer pups, Jasper and Maggie Mae. In their spare time, they enjoy travel, golf, cooking and relaxing with friends. Mary actively volunteers in her community and is a strong supporter of Women Playing For T.I.M.E., a volunteer group that raises funds to defeat cancer as it affects women and their families in the community.
